Westborough – Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital and Wegmans presented a free community education program “Heart Healthy Nutrition” Feb 29. Northborough Wegmans chef Arlo Trainor and Eat Well live Well ambassador Kathy Osterhout presented a cooking demonstration using Wegmans’ new pan simmering sauces and Veggie Market Stir-fry blends. Important heart healthy dietary information was also presented by Terry Petruska, R.D., Whittier's chief dietitian.

“It was a pleasure to educate our community in living a healthy “Eat Well Live Well” lifestyle,” said Wegmans Executive chef Dan Tartaglia.

Wegmans also donated a heart healthy gift basket, which was won by Nancy Gallien of Shrewsbury. The proceeds from the drawing were given to the American Heart Association.
