Hudson/Kissimmee, Fla. – Jerry C. Robertson, 69, of Hudson and Kissimmee, Fla., died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at his winter residence in Kissimmee, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Brigid (Kavanagh) Robertson of Hudson and Kissimmee, Fla.
Born and raised in Blytheville, Ak, son of the late Douglas and Opal (Bynum) Robertson, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Blytheville High School. He moved to Hudson from Arkansas in 1961 and was a member of the Hudson Police Department as a patrolman for 28 years, retiring in 2000. Besides being a member of the Hudson Police Patrolman's Union, he was a member of the Marlborough Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge of Hudson, Hudson Eagles and Hudson AMVETS. He enjoyed golfing, camping with family and friends, but most of all enjoyed spending his spare time with his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Douglas Robertson of Hudson, Rebecca Richards of Oxford, and Jennifer Thibeault and her husband William of Hudson; his three step-children, Paula DeArcangelis of Port Charlotte, Fla., Linda Flint of Ashland, and John DeArcangelis and his wife Lisa of Hudson. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nelta Benson of Alabama and Debbie Lee of Florida; his brother, Rick Robertson of Texas; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Saturday, March 24, at 11 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Burial services will be held at a later date. Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 23, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
