Valuable lessons for all ages
Southborough – Second-graders share stories they wrote in their journals with Viola Bigelow Laptewicz, more commonly known as Auntie Vi, during a class at the Woodward Elementary School. Several seniors visit second- and third-grade classes each week as participants in an intergenerational program, made possible by a grant from BayPath to the Southborough Senior Center. With the center conveniently located across the street from the school, seniors also frequently attend the students’ monthly assemblies called CARE (Cooperation, Acceptance and Respect for Everyone).
