American Cancer Society to hold “Look Good…Feel Better” training sessionWorcester – The American Cancer Society will hold a “Look Good . . . Feel Better” training session for licensed cosmetologists and estheticians Monday, April 16, at the American Cancer Society office located at 350 Plantation St., Worcester.

Look Good . . . Feel Better, a free program founded and developed by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association, teaches cancer patients hands-on cosmetic techniques to help them cope with appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy or radiation treatments.

Wig care, scarf and hat use, skin care and nail care will all be discussed, and all participants will receive a free makeup kit. Licensed cosmetologists and estheticians trained by the American Cancer Society conduct the program, which is non-medical and does not promote any product line.

Participants who complete the training will then have the opportunity to give back, lending their services and expertise to help others maintain confidence and style during treatment for cancer.

Registration will take place on-site between from 9 to 9:30 a.m., with the training scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
