Shrewsbury – The Trinity College (Hartford, Conn.) Bantam soccer team, captained by Shrewsbury native Joe Buckley (center) advanced to its first New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Finals and its first NCAA Tournament since 1997.
At the end of the season, Buckley, a graduate of St. John's High School, was selected for the All-NESCAC First Team and named to the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Collegiate Scholar All-American College Division III Team.
