Today is Friday, April 6. It is the 97th day of 2012. Christians around the world will be commemorating Good Friday today. And the eight day Jewish celebration of Passover starts this evening at sunset as well.

Today's birthdays include – infamous outlaw Butch Cassidy (1866), psychologist and spiritual teacher Ram Dass (1931) and actor John Ratzenberger, who is best known for his role as bar patron Cliff Clavin on “Cheers.”
