Marlborough – Marie A. (Chagnon) Barry, 98, a former longtime resident of Marlborough, died on Monday, April 2nd at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Barry, who died in 1984.
Born in Marlborough, daughter of the late Wilrose and Albina (Gauvin) Chagnon, she worked as a waitress at the former Cole's Lunch Restaurant in Marlborough for many years, but mostly enjoyed her time caring for her home. She resided in Hudson for a short time and was a member of the former Christ King Parish in Hudson. She also enjoyed her time as a member of the Friends of the Hudson Senior Center.
She is survived by her nephew, Paul Underwood of Westborough, and her three nieces, Virginia Fernandes of Hudson, Dorothy Gardner of Hudson, and Susan Whitten of Easton. She is also survived by her many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends may attend a calling hour Tuesday, April 10, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Howard Street Cemetery of Northborough.
