Shrewsbury – Ina M. (Williams) Benson, 86, died in her home Wednesday, April 18, 2012, with her loving children by her side. Her husband of 53 years, Stanley R. Benson, died in 2003.
She leaves her children, Jean C. Roberge and her husband, Mark, of Shrewsbury and Robert S. Benson and his longtime companion, Judith A. Freeman, of Shrewsbury; a brother, Robert Williams of W. Bridgewater, and a sister, Elaine Tight of Upton; four grandchildren, Shawn Freeman, Addie Gorman, Lea Roberge, and Jodi Benson; two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Callie; and many nieces, nephews.
Mrs. Benson enjoyed camping and playing card games with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Benson family Friday, April 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. A service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, April 21, at 9:30 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
