Charles Duridas, 78Marlborough – Charles Duridas, 78, lifelong resident of Marlborough and Milford, died Sunday morning, April 22, 2012, after a short battle with cancer.

He was the loving husband of Camille (Benedetto) Duridas, to whom he was married for 53 years. He was the son of the late Chris and Sophia Duridas, and was predeceased by five siblings.

Mr. Duridas worked with his hands as a finish carpenter and worked alongside his wife for many years in the family business ventures. He shared his love of history, gardening, woodworking, reading, and sports with all who knew him and was a naturally gifted artist.

Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters; Maria Pappas and her husband, William, of Bolton, Joanna Brunelle and her husband, Paul, of Hudson, and Jennifer Vittum and her husband, Dean, of Marlborough; one sister, Jane Sabella of Marlborough; 14 grandchildren, Joseph, Evan and Alexander Pappas, Nicholas, Samuel, Cammie, Marcus, Ava, Quinn, and Janie Brunelle, Benedetto, Anastasia, Merideth and Ethan Vittum; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, April 25, at 10 a.m., at Saint Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. There are no visiting hours. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery of Marlborough. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home.
