Adelbert Roy Gilson, 82Hudson – Adelbert Roy Gilson, 82, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty R. (Cauchon) Gilson of Hudson.

Born and raised in Eastport, Maine, he was the son of the late Hazel (Gilson) Acker and step-son of the late Irving Acker. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Salem. He was employed by the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham for many years until his retirement.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Barrie L. Gilson and his wife, Kathy, of Hudson; his grandson, Brandin L. Gilson of Hudson; and his three brothers-in-law, Robert Cauchon of Colorado, Richard Cauchon of California, and Albert Cauchon of Nevada. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends may gather for a service and celebration of Mr. Gilson's life Sunday, April 29, at 12 p.m., in the Union Church of Stow, 317 Great Rd. (Route 117), Stow. A private burial service in the Massachusetts Veterans” Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson.
