Worcester – Reliant Medical Group will be hosting the Celiac Support Group Saturday, April 28, from 1 to 3 p.m., to help further educate individuals with celiac disease about different food choices to make which can improve health and quality of life. The meeting will take place at Reliant's Worcester office, located at 666 Lincoln St.
The special event features Deb Collins who will be speaking about her restaurant, Idgy's Gluten Free Dining, located in South Yarmouth, and the wide variety of gluten-free foods available in the South Yarmouth area. In addition, Pierce's Pantry will be present to teach individuals how to help those in need of gluten-free food and how to access emergency gluten-free foods. Collins will also be proving a sample of gluten-free foods at this event.
Attendees are asked to consider bringing a non- perishable, gluten-free food item to be donated to Pierce's Pantry.
