Former President of the Colonial Garden Club, Holly Evangelous (l) and Pamela Paula (r), boutique chair, put their green thumbs to work April 28.

Marlborough – In collaboration with the city of Marlborough, the Colonial Garden Club of Marlborough has adopted many areas throughout the city to maintain. Among them are the signs at the Southborough, Hudson, Northborough and Sudbury town lines. There are two signs at each location, one mayor sign and one entrance sign.

In addition to the city signs, the garden club beautifies Circle Garden (at City Hall), Women's Veteran Park (located on Route 85), Whitcomb Middle School entrances, Ghiloni Park Woodland Garden and the Freeman School. They have also given a grant to Marlborough Hospital that was used to plant new trees by the new Emergency Room. (Photos/Sue Wambolt)

Paula (l) and Evangelous (r) prepare the mayor's sign on Route 85 for planting. Travelers can look forward to pink geraniums and white New Guinea impatiens come Memorial Day.
