Northborough Moms and Tots would like to thank all the group volunteers and community members who participated in its recent fundraiser, in which they sold pre-ordered cookie and treat trays to benefit its annual backpack drive. In addition, a special thank you to all who contributed an extra monetary donation to this effort.
Jenn Lacasse, the coordinator of this effort, stated that $775 was raised. This year a group of 20 dedicated volunteers baked over 1,680 cookies and treats.
Northborough Moms and Tots is a local playgroup/moms group and gives back to the community in many ways throughout the year. The annual backpack drive benefits students in need in the Northborough public schools. Last year, 125 filled backpacks were distributed.
This year, the group continues to collaborate with the Northborough Helping Hands Association, Inc. for the backpack effort. Northborough Helping Hands Association, Inc. has been serving the needs of Northborough residents for decades. They are a recognized 501(c)(3) charity and your donation is tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. All checks can be made payable to and sent to Northborough Helping Hands Association, Inc. P.O. Box 383, Northborough, MA 01532. Be sure to indicate your donation is for the Backpack Drive in the memo section of your check. All donations will be used 100 percent towards the effort.
