Shrewsbury – Roma E. “Sis” (Campaniello) Bohigian, 69, of Ft. Pierce, Florida, formerly a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury, passed away Monday, April 30th 2012 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital after being stricken ill.

Roma is survived by her devoted husband and partner of 51 years, Charles G. Bohigian, Sr.; three adoring children, Charles F. “Chuck” Bohigian, of Worcester, John C. Bohigian and his wife Paula of Templeton, Gina Massad and her husband Phil of Charlton; a sister, Mary Duhamel and her husband George of Shrewsbury, and a brother John Campaniello and his wife Lisa of Rhode Island; seven cherished grandchildren, Philip, Jr, Justin, Sarah, James, Cassandra, Patrick and John, Jr.; a great grandson Trenton Rome; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Charles G. Bohigian, Jr in 1962 and a daughter Roma E. “Beth” Fitzgibbons in March, 2010.

Roma was born in Worcester, a daughter of a large Italian family of Frank and Irene (Gallagher) Campaniello. She met and married her love Charles; together they raised their family in Shrewsbury earning a living as co-owners of the “Chuck Wagon Catering” before retiring to Florida seven years ago.

Sis was a typical Italian mother who found great pride in caring for her family and watching them succeed. She had a great sense of humor and kindness, loved the summers at Hampton Beach with her family and the warm winters in Florida with her husband. She loved the beach, knitting and sewing. She will always be cherished by her family and friends and never forgotten.
