John K. Middleton, 49Northborough – John K. Middleton, 49, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He died with his loving family by his side.

He leaves his devoted wife of 18 years, Laurie (Stothers) Middleton; his two daughters, Kylie and Sarah Middleton of Northborough; his mother, Mary Middleton Tedeschi and her husband John of Springfield; a brother, Kenneth Middleton and his wife Nancy of Enfield, CT; a sister Maryann Calabrese and her husband Luigi of Westfield; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

John was born and raised in Springfield. After graduating from Western New England University in 1987, he joined Deluxe Corporation where he was employed until his death. John was a dedicated supporter of lacrosse who truly enjoyed developing players and promoting the sport. He coached boys lacrosse in NJ, at Algonquin Regional High School where he was named Coach of the Year in 2001, and was Head Coach at the Bay State Games for two years. John was the founder of Team Central, an elite lacrosse club for players from Central and Eastern Massachusetts and New England. In addition, he served as the Area Chairman for US Lacrosse Central MA who honored him as “Man of the Year” in 2011.

John was an avid fisherman who loved the rivers of Montana and the saltwater of the Bahamas. In his spare time he operated Angling Around guide service where he was a fishing guide and casting instructor. John belonged to the “Proctor Papas” at his daughters” elementary school helping with such projects as the Winter Carnival and BINGO For Books. Above all he loved spending time with his family.

A Celebration of John's life will be held Sunday, May 20, from 3 to 5 p.m., at St. Bernadette School (Charbonneau Center) in Northborough.
