Westborough – Gloomy skies did not diminish the spirits of hundreds of local residents and friends as they celebrated the 10th Annual Westborough Spring Festival on May 5 – May 6. The festival is organized each year as a major fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Westborough.

John Egan, a senior at Westborough High School, finishes the 5K Road Race as first overall in 17:02. Egan set a new course record for men age 19 and under, which was previously 19:16 set in 2004.
About 150 runners start the Rotary Club of Westborough's 10th annual 5K Road Race, beginning and ending at Westborough High School (WHS). Finishing first overall in 17:02 was John Egan, a senior at WHS. Taylor Scott of Westborough was the first-place female in 21:16.
Taylor Stott is the first-place female finishing in 21:16. Stott set a new course record for women age 19 and under, which was previously 25:34 set in 2011.
Finishing the Doggie Dash in second-place are Tim Raben and his dog, Spaz. Coming in a close third-place are Katie Giroux and her dogs, Scott and Jack, who are brothers.
