The Rotary Club of Northborough recently presented its twelfth annual “Pride in Workmanship Award” to Maurice (Mo) and Phyllis Tougas, owners of Tougas You-Pick Farm in Northborough.

According to club officials, the award is given to a person who has taken great pride in their chosen line of work and has done an exemplary job in this work for an extended period of time.

Mo, with Phyllis by his side, has shown not only his love of fruit growing, but also his continual drive to educate himself, serve the needs of his own farm and the entire apple market, and pass along this knowledge. (Photo courtesy/Rotary Club of Northborough.)

Currently “Mo” is the President of the International Fruit Growers Association and was last year's Massachusetts Fruit Grower of the Year.
