Northborough releases Downtown Traffic Improvement status reportNorthborough – The town of Northborough has released its status report on the downtown traffic improvement project May 21, 2012:

• Currently: Completion of drainage in the vicinity of Hudson Street proceeding toward Church Street. Pavement is also being removed from the edge of the roadway beginning on the east side of the project and progressing toward the center of Town.

• Week of May 14: Begin excavating for roadway widening throughout the project.

• Week of May 21: Begin removing the stone wall in front of the Trinity Church, which will be relocated back about 5-6 feet from its current location.

• Week of May 28: Installation will begin on traffic signal conduits, foundations and pull boxes followed by placement of gravel and base pavement of all areas of proposed widening which should last until mid-June.

• Please contact MassDOT resident engineer Angela Padavano at 774-292-2076 with any questions or concerns regarding the Downtown Traffic Improvements.

 

Route 20 Milling and Resurfacing Project status report 5-21-2012:

• Residents should also be aware the milling, resurfacing and pavement markings work which started in April at the westerly end of Route 20 near the intersection with Route 9 is also progressing and the installation of an intermediate course of asphalt is expected to be completed by the end of May with final paving by the end of July.
