Shrewsbury – Veterans Inc. will host its annual Freedom Song Festival Saturday, June 16 at Veterans Inc.'s Independence Hall, located at 59 South St. in Shrewsbury. The free event will take place rain or shine on the front lawn and will be from 12 to 6 p.m.
The Freedom Song Festival is an annual fundraiser that features a patriotic outdoor celebration to include live musical entertainment throughout the day, food, art and local vendors, and fun for all ages. The festival will have a children's area with a bouncy house, obstacle course, face painting, and patriotic games and activities. Veterans Inc. merchandise will also be on sale.
“We are excited to welcome friends, neighbors and supporters of all ages to our beautiful grounds in Shrewsbury and have them join us for a day of music and entertainment while we celebrate veterans,” said Vincent J. Perrone, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF (Retired), Veterans Inc. President and CEO. “We'se looking forward to this fun-filled event.”
“This is the perfect opportunity to spend time with your family and friends as we raise awareness and support for our brave American heroes,” explained Denis Leary, Veterans Inc. Executive Director. “What better way to show your support of those that put their life on the line for our country, as to honor and celebrate all veterans while enjoying great music and delicious food.”
All proceeds will go towards Veterans Inc. and support programs for veterans in need and their family members.
