Benoit soars as RWU Hawk

Shrewsbury – Victoria “Tory” Benoit, of Shrewsbury, continues to achieve academic and athletic success at Roger Williams University (RWU) in Bristol, R.I. Currently a second semester sophomore, Benoit was recently named to the university's dean's list for the third time. RWU students must achieve and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher to receive this distinction. Benoit, a criminal justice major is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, RWU's law honor society and SOAR, the university's leadership program.

Benoit is a member of the women's soccer team and played in all 22 games during her sophomore season. She was named RWU Female Athlete of the Week in September 2011. RWU won the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship for the second time this fall and made its second consecutive NCAA appearance.

Benoit is also a member of the RWU women's track and field team.
