Worcester – Habitat for Humanity – MetroWest/Greater Worcester (HFH-MW/GW) is pleased to announce that AREVA, Inc.'s Marlborough office has become a Silver Hammer Home Build Sponsor committing $10,000 to Habitat's latest project. This will be the 34th house built by HFH-MW/GW for a family in need over the past 27 years.? Construction is expected to be completed in the fall, 2012.

According to JB Koehl, AREVA Site Manager for the Marlborough office, “Habitat projects contribute to the sustainable well-being of the community. We are very proud of the high number of employees who are volunteering their time and energy to this build. It provides a way to reinforce a commitment to the greater good locally, and a positive experience that we will carry back to the workplace.”

The project at 16 Fales St. is being built to connect to an existing Habitat house at 18 Fales St., thus resulting in a duplex structure. The new construction at 16 Fales St. will have approximately 1,050 square feet of living space for a single family. It will be two stories with two bedrooms and one-and-one-half bathrooms. The house will be Energy Star certified as well as landscaped in a manner compatible with neighboring homes.
