Marlborough – Saturday, June 23, at 11 a.m., Veronica Robles opens the Saturday Morning Discovery Series as she performs the Music of Mexico! Veronica is a popular television personality hosting and co-producing her own TV show, Orale con Veronica, on Telemundo Boston. Her mission is to promote diversity and to teach about Mexican and Latin-American culture through dance and music.
She has had her own Mariachi group based in Boston since 2004, has released five albums, and has performed in venues including The Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. Her repertoire includes traditional Mexican music, her original songs, and other Latin American melodies. The Saturday Morning Discovery Series is delighted to have her returning to the city with her beautiful voice and infectious personality.
The Saturday Morning Discovery Series returns this summer to Union Common, 91 Main Street, Marlborough with free entertainment for family audiences through Aug. 18. The rain location is at the Marlborough Senior Center, 250 Main St. The series is presented by the Arts Alliance and the City of Marlborough with support from the Ezra M. Cutting Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee, Avidia Bank, Ken's Foods, Allied Waste Services of Tyngsboro, Woodard and Curran, Marlborough Cultural Council, Marlborough Savings Bank and St. Mary's Credit Union.
