Marlborough – Saturday, June 30, at 11 a.m., the Saturday Morning Discovery series welcomes Ben Rudnick and Friends to the stage at Union Common, 91 Main St. Playing music that genuinely entertains all of the family members, Ben Rudnick and Friends are a popular local group that can be heard on the WERS Radio family program The Playground.
The group's goal is to provide an environment where the youngest to the oldest can share in the excitement of the event and develop a deeper common bond. Winners of 5 Parents’ Choice Awards and boasting a high level of adventurous musicianship, the band displays a wide ranging acoustic sound from light folk to bluegrass, calypso, and rock.
The Saturday Morning Discovery Series is free entertainment for family audiences. The rain location is Marlborough Senior Center, 250 Main St., if the weather does not cooperate.
The series is presented by the Arts Alliance and the City of Marlborough with support from the Ezra M. Cutting Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee, Avidia Bank, Ken's Foods, Allied Waste Services of Tyngsboro, Woodard and Curran, Marlborough Cultural Council, Marlborough Savings Bank and St. Mary's Credit Union.
