Marlborough ?Dr. Anthony Pope has resigned as the superintendent of the Marlborough Public Schools. Tensions had been brewing between Pope, Mayor Arthur Vigeant, the Marlborough School Committee and the Marlborough Educators Association over the past few months.
Vigeant said the decision was a mutual one between Pope and the School Committee. Maureen Greulich will serve as acting superintendent until a replacement is hired.
