Edmund R. AlbertiniMarlborough – Edmund R. Albertini, formerly of Hudson, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at New Horizons assisted living in Marlborough. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II.

He was the husband of Marguerite (Allen) Albertini, and shared 20 wonderful years of retirement and traveling with his loving wife of 61 years while spending winters in St. Petersburg, Fla. and summering on Laurel Lake in Fitzwilliam, N.H.

Father of the late Edmund S. Albertini, he is survived by his children, David and Aline of Kansas City, Robert of Franklin, and Judith and Antonio Moreira of Hudson. “Grampie” will be missed by his six grandchildren, Wendy Carnaroli, Eric Moreira, Jessica Aiello, Jonathan Albertini, Jenny Albertini, and Lauren Albertini, and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m., at the New Horizons Chapel, 400 Hemenway St., Marlborough.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Horizons Holiday Fund which will benefit the wonderful staff that made the last two years of Edmund's life happy and comfortable.
