Marlborough – Lorraine (Rivard) Labossiere, 90, of Marlborough, died Friday, July 6, 2012.
Born July 6, 1922 in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Theophile J. and Marie Louise (Richard) Rivard, and the wife of the late Raymond Labossiere, who died in 1974.
Lorraine had been employed in the food service department at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, retiring in 1995. She had previously worked at Frye-Corbin Shoe.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and the Immaculate Conception Parish, and a member of the former St. Mary's Parish, Marlborough. Honored at a 90th birthday celebration Sunday, July 1, Lorraine spent the day doing what she loved best, enjoying the company of her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Paul Labossiere and his wife, Jane; her daughters, Janice Sanville and her husband, Burton, and Jacqueline Wright and her husband, Terrill, all of Marlborough; her grandchildren, Keith Wright, Timothy Wright, Scott Sanville, Shawn Sanville, and Nicole Kantor; and her great-grandchildren, Makayla Sanville-Kantor, Daniel Kantor, Katrina Sanville, Paige Sanville, Jacob Sanville, Jared Sanville, and Anthony Wright. She was also the sister of the late Arthur Rivard and Lillian Daniels
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 9, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough.Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beach Street in Marlborough. The Slattery Funeral Home of Marlborough is assisting the family.
