Marlborough – Jeanne O. Thivierge, 81, of Marlborough, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Northborough.
A lifelong Marlborough resident, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Laurinda (Lord) Thivierge. A graduate of St. Anne's Academy, Class of 1951 and Anna Marie College, Paxton, she had been employed as a research assistant at Beth Israel Hospital and Harvard University from which she retired.
She was a member of the former St. Mary's Parish, where she served as the Treasurer of Our Lady of the Assumption Guild, was an avid skier and enjoyed crafts.
She is survived by many relatives and close friends in the Marlborough area, and her oldest and dearest friend, Rena Richard of Upton.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 17, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Church, Main Street (Route 20), Northborough. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 16, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
