Region – Often, people wonder how to make a difference in world harmony, global friendships and understanding other cultures. For one week this summer, the area will be home for a small group of Chinese middle school students and three female teacher chaperones.
A few middle school girls and boys and three female teachers (ages 24 to 45) each need homes for just one week, July 30 to Aug. 6. They will be busy each weekday following their itineraries (hosts are welcome to go along), have full medical insurance and spending money, and they hope to learn about America. The organizers are looking for local residents who would like to reach out and host one or two of the visitors for the week so they build trust, form friendships and learn about our culture, values and lifestyles.
A food stipend is available along with community service hours.
