Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury National League 10 Year Old All Star Team will be fundraising for the Jimmy Fund this summer. The team goal is to raise at least $2,500 for the organization. Team members include Dante Colonero, Matt Rossi, Sean Bunton, Ben Harris, Tyler Mudd, Cade Nelson, Logan Peterson, Shane MacDonald, Cam Thibeault, Ryan Bouffard, Teddy Karlin and Ryan McAulay and coaches Mike Mudd, Gary Thibeault, Craig Colonero and Dave MacDonald.
The Jimmy Fund Little League program gives more than 5,000 Little League baseball and softball players throughout New England the chance to continue playing after their regular season ends, by participating in the program. Off the field, these youngsters raise vital funds for the Jimmy Fund, while learning the importance of philanthropy and volunteerism, and that they, too, can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
Eat at Not Your Average Joe's every Tuesday in July and present the certificate available on the team's website http://shrewsburynationalleague2012.weebly.com/ and 15 percent will go to the Jimmy Fund.
