Shrewsbury –UPDATE: This event has been canceled because of a “request from the Shrewsbury Health Department to cancel or reschedule all planned evening, outdoor gatherings and sporting events in Shrewsbury between the hours of dusk and dawn due to the recent increase in mosquito-borne illness detection.”
The Shrewsbury Garden Club will be sponsoring a Scarecrow Contest and Display on the Town Common. Shrewsbury residents, businesses and nonprofits are welcome to create a scarecrow to be displayed on the Town Common from Sept. 28 through Oct. 19.
Ribbons will be awarded in 3 age categories, as well as a family/business category and Best of Show. Individuals and groups are encouraged to participate in helping to make this the largest scarecrow display ever!
