Shrewsbury – On July 14, Blair Kolbe Weis, of North Andover, and Ken and Vikki Kolbe, of Shrewsbury, formed Team Kolbe and participated in Swim Across America open water swim at Nantasket Beach. The event raised over $60,000 for pediatric cancer research at Dana Farber.
There were over 100 swimmers. The water was a chilly 61 degrees, but no one had a problem getting into the water for the cause. Team Kolbe swam in honor of Katie Zube and Bill Bradford and in memory of Kyle Sweet.
