Cynthia A. Dealy, 63Westford – Cynthia A. “Sandy” (Lees) Dealy, of Westford, formerly of Sudbury, died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 in Leahy Clinic in Burlington. She was 63.

Lovingly known to all as “Sandy,” she was born Dec. 2, 1948 in Noblesville, In., a daughter of Carolyn (Lowry) Lees and the late Edgar Lees. She graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

She married Brian F. Dealy March 25, 1973 in Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown, Connecticut. After moving to Massachusetts, they lived many years in Sudbury before moving to Westford in 2003.

Sandy was still working at the time of her death as Assistant Director of Nursing at Concord Healthcare in Concord.

Her interests included a love for music, with an affection of the big band era from an influence of her father, and all things Celtic. She was a talented piano player. Also talented with needle and thread, she was a gifted in cross stitch and knit countless afghans as gifts to so many family members.

In addition to her husband, Brian, she leaves her sons, John M. Dealy and his wife, Karen, Paul R. Dealy, all of Westford, and Daniel F. Dealy of Exeter, New Hampshire; her mother, Carolyn Lees of Clifton Park, New York; her siblings, Shelly Gualtieri and her husband, Deno, of Bethel, Connecticut and Gregory Lees and his wife, Judy, of Rexford, New York; her grandchildren, Allison, Jack and Erin; her mother-in-law, Anne (Sullivan) Dealy of Shrewsbury; in-laws, Carol Singh and her husband, Jang, of Holden, Kevin Dealy and his wife, Leslie, of N. Attleboro and Sharon Avis and her husband, Richard, of Shrewsbury; a niece and three nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Sandy's life by gathering for calling hours Friday, Aug. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center, and again Saturday, Aug. 18, at 8:45 a.m., before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury, where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery of Littleton.
