Volunteers sought to play with children in sheltersRegion – Do you know that one in every 50 children in the U.S will go to sleep without a home this year? Horizons for Homeless Children is seeking fun-loving, dependable people to interact and play with children living in family homeless shelters and domestic violence shelters throughout central Massachusetts.

A commitment of two hours a week is required for at least six months. Day and evening hours are available. Trainings are held regularly and are listed on the organization's website. The next training in the Central Region is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Worcester State University.

For more information about the program, or to register for training, visit www.horizonsforhomelesschildren.org, send email to [email protected], or call 508-755-2615. The experience benefits everyone involved.
