Next community garden cleanup in Hudson will be Sept. 8Hudson – Please join volunteers at Hudson's new community garden Saturday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon, for a monthly Volunteer Maintenance Day. The garden, which serves two dozen gardening families and more through vegetable donations to the Hudson Food Pantry, relies on volunteers to keep the site clean, orderly, and inspiring.

The relentless weeds always threaten to retake the garden space and each month they need to be cut back. On Sept. 8, there will be tasks for all ages and abilities, including weeding, watering, composting, mulching, mowing, as well as collecting sticks, rocks and trash from the site. These cleanup days are always a lot of fun and a great way to give back to the community in a much needed way.
