ArtmakerZ announces fall art schedule

Begonia and Gesneriad Show Sept. 22 – 23 at Tower Hill
Boylston – The Buxton Branch of the American Begonia Society and the New England Chapter of the Gesneriad Society will showcase its finest flowers at Tower Hill Botanic Garden during a special show and sale Sept. 22 and 23. This annual show offers the opportunity to discover the diversity of these two popular houseplants. In connection with this combined show, there will be a plant sale, where visitors may purchase rare begonias and gesneriads, with experts on hand and literature on how best to grow them and propagate them.? MAR's Charitable Foundation awards housing grants
Region – The MAR (Mass Association of Realtors) Charitable Foundation awarded $14,500 in grants to a record 15 housing and homeless assistance organizations in Massachusetts at the Board of Directors meeting held recently. The housing grant program was initiated to complement the volunteer support and financial assistance that local Realtor Associations across Massachusetts are already providing to shelters, soup kitchens, affordable housing agencies, and traditional housing programs in their communities. Project Just Because was one of the recipients that was awarded a $1,500 grant.
