Marlborough – Margo I. (Phillipi) Malloy, 86, of Marlborough, entered into eternal sleep Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Marlborough.

Born in Fechenheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Kudi Phillipi, and the wife of the late Thomas J. Malloy, whom she married in Germany following the war in 1947.

Mrs. Malloy had been employed at Sabena Airlines, NYC, and the former Jordan Marsh Company, Framingham, and retired as office manager from Gotham Ink, Marlborough.

She had served as president of the Marlborough Historical Society, the Marlborough Women's Club, and the Colonial Garden Club of Marlborough (1969-1971). She made numerous trips to Germany to visit her daughter and family and to Ireland with her husband and daughters. She happily spent many hours working in her garden or enjoying old, classic movies and reading books of all types, especially crime mysteries.

She is survived by her sons, Michael C. Malloy and his wife Jane of Pembroke and Thomas Malloy of Providence; her daughters, Tessa Tomasetti of Marlborough, Patsy Emmel and her husband Heinz of Frankfort, Germany, and Kelly Malloy of Hinesville, Georgia; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several dear friends who generously cared for her over the years. She was also the sister of the late Anna Englet.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 22, at 9:00 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. There will be no burial. Visiting hours will be held Friday, Sept. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
