Hudson – Marjorie (MacDonald) Reynard, 77, a longtime resident of Hudson, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Marlborough Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 46 years of the late Lawrence Reynard, who died in 2002.
Marjorie was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Erwin and Jeannet (Darling) MacDonald. She was raised in Brockton prior to moving to Hudson in her mid-teens.
She was an original member of the Board of Directors at the Hudson Boys and Girls Club and also served as the secretary to the Executive Director at the club. She was a former secretary and bookkeeper for several local companies, including Honeywell Corp. in Northborough, Rexnord Co. of Hudson and Maynard, Irene Sabean Productions of Hudson, and Cape Cod Shipbuilders of Wareham.
Marjorie loved to spend time with her family, especially with her loving grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, gardening and dancing in her spare time.
She is survived by her five children, Sarah Reynard Epifano of Fairfield, CT, Barbara Masciarelli and her husband Paul of Hudson, Donna Jacobites and her husband Curtis of Bellingham, Joanne Duros and her husband Van of Petersham, and Milford Reynard and his wife Sarah of Framingham. She was predeceased by her daughter, Laura Reynard Dube, in 1984. She is also survived by her brother, George MacDonald and his wife Viv of Florida; her sister, Barbara Davis of Westborough; her nine grandchildren, Nick Epifano, Mallory Masciarelli, Chris Masciarelli and his wife Lisa, Brock and Rusty Jacobites, Julia and Chrisoula Duros, Tucker and Tyler Reynard; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service and celebration of Marjorie's life will be held Friday, Oct. 5, at 11:00 a.m., in the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson, 80 Main St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
