Hudson – Erli (Pereira) DeSouza, 52, of Hudson, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, in her home with her family, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil to the late Francisca and Joao Pereira, she leaves behind her soul mate and husband of 27 amazing years, Alvandir (Al) DeSouza, and her two children, Patrick DeSouza, age 20, and Andressa DeSouza, age 25. She also leaves behind 12 brothers and sisters, four sister-in-laws, her mother and father-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A hardworking and dedicated employee, she gave 10, wonderful years to the Staples, Inc. legal department in Framingham, where her co-workers and colleagues have become family.
A lover of the outdoors and anything involving family, she lived for a day out in the sun surrounded by those who loved her most. She will always be remembered as the beautiful, charismatic, and irreplaceable woman, wife, and mother that we all knew her to be.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 26, at 9:00 a.m., at Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Thursday, Oct. 25, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
