Joseph A. Delarda Jr., 92Fayville – Joseph A. Delarda Jr., 92, of Fayville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at Kathleen Daniel Healthcare in Framingham. He was the husband of the late Rena (Piccioli) Delarda, who passed away in 1985.

Born in Fayville, he was the son of the late Mary (Rossi) and Joseph Delarda Sr. Josie, as he was known to all, grew up and lived in Fayville all his life.? He was a member of the Volunteer Southborough Fire Department in his younger days and a member of the Fayville Athletic Association. He was a World War II veteran, having served his country as a Medic in the U.S. Army in Germany, and then became a member of the V.F.W., Choate Post # 3276 of Southborough.

Joe was a retired member of the Teamsters Local 170, having worked at Hendries Ice Cream and later New England Frozen Foods of Southborough. He was a longtime active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister of St. Anne Church in Southborough. He was an avid fan of the Bruins, Patriots and his beloved Red Sox.

Joe had a never-ending craving of frozen pudding ice cream from Uhlman's of Westborough, along with his passion for new cars.

He is survived by his two children, Lorraine Laundry? and her husband Gary of Framingham and Steven Delarda and his wife Deborah (Cormier) of Bellingham; his brother, Robert Delarda and his wife Barbara of Southborough; six grandchildren, Joseph Laundry of Framingham, Kelly (Delarda) Bach and her husband Aaron of San Diego, Karen Delarda and her fiancé Terrence O”Brien of Waltham, Daniel Laundry of Brighton, Jaclyne Delarda of Bellingham, and Christopher Delarda of Upton; and a? great-grandson, Everett Bach. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, Nov. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m., at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough. Burial will follow in Southborough Rural Cemetery.
