Shrewsbury – In celebration of Jimmy's Tavern & Grill's one year anniversary on Nov. 12, a contest was held for Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce members to submit an original recipe for a western-themed cocktail.? Terry McGoldrick and his daughter Caitlin won for their recipe, “Quiet Man,” which was inspired by a John Wayne character.
The winning recipe consists of two ounces of Jameson's Irish Whiskey, one ounce of Irish Mist, and a serious twist of lemon peel.? Jimmy's Tavern & Grill awarded the McGoldricks with a “Dinner for Two.” The winning cocktail is also being added to the restaurant's specialty drink menu.
Jimmy's Tavern & Grill is located at 50 Boston Turnpike (Route 9), Shrewsbury.
