Marlborough – Marlborough's Union Common was full of holiday cheer as the city celebrated its annual “Home for the Holidays” on Friday, Dec.? 7. Children swarmed around Santa Claus as he arrived via fire truck with Mayor Arthur Vigeant. Singing by the Marlborough High School Mixed Chorus accompanied the eagerly awaited tree-lighting. Other events included live barn animals, popcorn, and hot chocolate on the Common as well as performances by the Marlborough High School String Ensemble and Jazz Band at the nearby First Congregational Church.
