Shrewsbury – Maclaine Lehan, a junior from Shrewsbury, helped control the defense of The Rivers School girls soccer team this season from her center back spot. She helped Rivers finish the regular season undefeated and the team took second-place in the Independent School League (ISL) and in the Class B New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) tournament. She earned All-State and All-League honors for the season and was named ISL MVP Defensive Player of the Year. She plays club soccer with the MPS Renegades, who won the U-17 Girls State Cup this year, where Lehan was awarded MVP of the tournament. A high honors student at Rivers, Lehan has verbally committed to play soccer at Brown University in Providence.
