Westborough – Rick Hoyt, one half of the inspirational father-son duo, Team Hoyt, will be at Tatnuck Bookseller tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. to promote his new book, “One Letter at a Time.
The book tells the story of how Rick and his father Dick Hoyt have inspired millions around the world as the incredible marathon and triathlon duo known as Team Hoyt. Though Rick has lived his entire life as a non-verbal spastic quadriplegic with cerebral palsy, he collaborated with co-author Todd Civin for over a year to tell the amazing stories of his life in this exciting new book as told through his own words, thoughts and recollections.
For those who don's know the complete story, Rick has lived his entire life in a wheel chair, ?unable to speak or control his body from the neck down. Despite his disability Rick has attended public schools, graduated from Boston University with a degree in Special Education and lives life independently in his own apartment.
He is most well known as a world renowned marathon and triathlete who has been pushed, pedaled and paddled to the finish line by his 72-year-old father Dick in over 1,100 athletic competitions including 30 Boston Marathons.
“One Letter at a Time” also includes the stories of 12 other authors who share how Rick has moved them and changed their lives with his inspirational life story.
