Marlborough – Eileen J. (Daley) Tripoli, 62, of Marlborough, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 in Worcester. She was the wife of Phillip Tripoli Sr., of Marlborough, to whom she had been married for the past 39 years.
Born in Brighton, the daughter of Margaret (Doherty) Daley and the late Richard Daley, she graduated from the Boston Public School System before attending Northeastern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Records Science.
She had been employed by the Federal Government for over 20 years in various positions, most recently at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury.
She loved spending time at the beach, traveling, reading, knitting, sewing, going for walks, “tea,” listening to music, and, most especially, the company of her friends and large family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Phillip Tripoli Jr., of Natick; her daughter, Andrea Tripoli of Boston; her brothers, Richard Daley of Simi Valley, CA, David Daley of Needham, John Daley of Newton, and Daniel Daley of Marshfield; her sisters, Kathleen Codair of Dedham, Margaret Daley-Strano of Norwood, MaryAnn Bailey of Hampton, NH, Frances Gannon of Duxbury, Judith Daley of Palm Desert, CA, and Theresa Daley of Brighton; and several aunts and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 14, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
