Northborough – Geraldine (Tripp) Francesco, 83, of Northborough, passed away quietly Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at Auburn Life Care Center. Born June 14, 1929 in Westborough, she was a resident of Northborough for 57 years. She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Anthony Francesco.
She leaves three children, her son Jon Francesco and his wife Norma of Charlton, and her daughters, Deborah Gauntlett and husband Gordon and Regina Guertin and husband Sean, all of Merritt Island, FL; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Betty Tripp of Northborough.
Geraldine worked for many years at the former Granger's Nursing Home as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed winter vacations in Florida and summers at Cape Cod.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by family and friends. The family would like to express their appreciation to Jill Gill, Jeanne and Steve, Billy, and Betty and Sue for all their help and care throughout the years.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 10 to 11 a.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., followed by a service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial in St. Luke's Cemetery of Westborough will be private.
