Cherry Valley – Adored husband, father, colleague and friend, Carl R. Beauregard, 57, of Cherry Valley, passed away from sudden illness Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital, with his wife and children at his side.

Born June 3, 1955 in Hudson, he was the second son of Donald Beauregard and Dolores Kozel. It was also in Hudson where he met his lifelong love, Claire (Cato). They were married in nearby Marlborough on the sunny afternoon of Oct. 8, 1977.

Together, Carl and Claire moved to Merrick Street in Cherry Valley, where they built their life. For nearly 40 years, Carl and his wife Claire celebrated the successes of each other, their three children, Carl Jr., Matthew, and Julie, and their multiple business ventures (Technical Sales & Service, Inc.; QualTech; New England Molders, Inc.; and HotBlades, Inc.).

Though Carl's work took him across six continents, his proudest accomplishment and most passionate love was his family. It was in 2005, with the purchase of a vacation home in the fishing village of Tilting, Newfoundland, that he achieved his lifelong dream: a warm and welcoming place by the ocean where he could spend his days sharing food, laughter, and life with his friends and family.

Always looking to the future, Carl stated on many occasions that he did not want the world to mourn his loss: he wanted to be celebrated.

A Memorial Celebration for Carl R. Beauregard was held Feb. 10 at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson, with a funeral celebration Mass Feb. 11 in the Immaculate Conception Church of Marlborough. Burial services will be held at the convenience of the family in Rural Cemetery, Southborough.
