Virginia McDonald, 80Northborough – Virginia (Ginny) Elizabeth Enright McDonald, 80, beloved wife of the late William E. McDonald, mother, grandmother, sister to the late Walter Enright of Pittsburgh, PA, aunt,? great-aunt, cousin and friend, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester, after a series of illnesses.

Born June 26, 1932 to the late Cecelia Owens Enright and Walter Enright of Pittsfield, Ginny graduated from Pittsfield High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. ?She was Nov. 26, 1955 in Pittsfield.? During her life, Ginny resided in Pittsfield; North Adams; Pembrook, NH; Williamstown; Wayne, NJ; Acton; and Northborough.

She was a very involved church member at Our Lady of Consolation parish in Wayne, NJ and St. Elizabeth's of Hungary parish in Acton. She was President and an active member of the New Jersey Chapter of The College of Saint Rose Alumni Association.

One of Ginny's great loves was music, and she sang in the Acton Community Chorus for many years. In 1999, she moved to Northborough, where she served as a board member and was an active community member of the Intervale Farm Lane Association and a communicant at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Kathleen McDonald of Lanesboro, Kevin and his wife Marsha McDonald of Littleton, Karen McDonald of Shirley, Kelley and his wife Tien McDonald of Groton, and Margaret McDonald of Boston; her five grandsons, Adam, Christopher, Ryan, Liam and Logan; brother Charles Enright and his wife Anne of Northborough; and beloved cousins, multiple generations of nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

Funeral arrangements are through the Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough.

On Sunday, Feb. 17, at 4 p.m., there will be a Celebration of Ginny's Life to be held at Indian Meadows Country Club, 275 Turnpike Rd. (Route 9), Westborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 244 West Main St., Northborough. Burial will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Ginny's memory be made payable to Miles Hunter, her great-grandnephew, and sent to Miles Hunter, P.O. Box 521883, Longwood, FL? 32752.
