Obit-Flag_USE-THIS-ONE4Marlborough – Leon Wright, 97, of Marlborough, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center, Marlborough.

Born in Beachmont, he was the son of the late George C.and Emma (Hodgkins ) Wright and the husband of the late Noella (Robert) Wright, who died in 2005.

A veteran of WWII, Mr. Wright had been employed at the former General Motors Plant, Framingham for 23 years, in the general stores and shipping departments, before retiring in 1974.

He was a member of the former St. Mary's Parish and enjoyed woodworking and carving.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Donna LaClair and her husband Patrick of Loudon, NH and Craig Josephson of Marlborough; his son-in-law, Arthur Josephson of Hudson; his great-grandson, Caden LaClair of Loudon, NH; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Doris Josephson and the brother of the late George Wright.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, April 2, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette Church, Main Street (Route 20) in Northborough. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beach Street in Marlborough.
