Shrewsbury-Fifteen members of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church have been busy again this year making and tying quilts. A total of 60 quilts were made, nearly 20 more than last year's total. Fifteen quilts have been donated to Lutheran World Relief (LWR). The other 45 have been donated to Lutheran Social Services of New England (LSS) to be distributed locally. Quilts donated to LWR are not only used for warmth, but are also used to provide shelter from the sun, carry children, carry wares, and to display wares at market. LSS provides the quilts to refugee families in Massachusetts and New Hampshire who are furnishing apartments.
