Westborough – Elizabeth L. “Betty” Lombardo, 93, of Westborough, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham. She was the wife of the late Santo Joseph Lombardo.
Born in New Britain, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Matilda (Mastraini) Mamone and was educated in New Britain schools.
Mrs. Lombardo was employed as a seamstress at Holbrook Shirts in New Britain and had also worked for Stanley Works.
In 1994 she moved to Westborough where she was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, was a member of the Women of St. Luke's and the Senior Center. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the K of C Hall and making afghans.
She is survived by one son, Joseph S. Lombardo and his wife, Cathy, of Westborough; three grandchildren, Joseph Lombardo, Michael Lombardo and Nicole Phillips and her husband, Trey; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Marley Lombardo.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 6, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery of New Britain, Conn., will be private. Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday, June 5, from 4 to 7 p.m.
